Perfect app for my young special needs students just learning how to use the iPad!
My nephew who is just shy of two years old actually found this app pretty entertaining. He specifically enjoyed the sweeping up game, and he really enjoyed the feed-the-animals app. The fruit-and-veggie app wasnt such a big hit, but I think that was because it was still a little difficult for him to figure out. Someone had commented that the app had a "creepy" feel to it, but I dont think thats true. Its not anything that isnt already shown on Nick Jr, so I feel that most preschoolers would probably think this app is a-Okay. My 4 year old niece also enjoyed this app, and she preferred the animal feeding game and the monster game over everything else. I do think that she is at the upper age limit of who would enjoy this app, though.
While the intro to the game seems cute; feeding zoo animals -the scary monsters in the dark (scary silhouettes turn into creepy monsters) seriously frightened my toddler. I was very disappointed in the makers of this game and that it was approved for a toddler game- and dont let me forget to mention that it was recommended by "Kids Media!!" ..?? Please change the age settings as appropriate.. The zoo game is perfect for toddlers but the monsters ??..maybe for five year olds? But definitely not for toddlers. Deleted this app.
I have three boys ages 6, 4, and 1 and they love all the Duckie Deck apps, especially the "sharing" game! Entertaining and funny, cute graphics and music!
Good games. My toddler loves it. But there is a friendly monster game that my toddler particularly enjoys. Too bad now whenever he sees a shadow he says "monster daddy!" Be careful with the shadow monster game!
Got this for a several day long road trip. Just tested it out myself tonight and it seems like something my 17 month old will enjoy and be able to do and not accidentally click out of or get stuck. Will update when she tries it.
